High school and middle school students of Union Educational Complex will show their art work in a special exhibit at the Landes Arts Center from Saturday through June 11, during regular library hours. Admission is free.
The Landes Arts Center is at 18 Mountain View St. in Petersburg. Library hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesdays from 9 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.
The public is invited to a reception in the Ours Gallery of the Landes Arts Center from 1 - 3 p.m. Saturday. Mary Waters, UEC art teacher, will be present and can speak with the public about the students' art pieces, which include photography, hand-built clay pots and sculpture and works in pencil, pastels, water color and acrylics.
