Organizers of Kids Day express gratitude

The Randolph County Family Resource Network and America's Promise Coalition would like to say thank you to all those who attended, sponsored and volunteered during the ninth annual National Kids Day Event on Aug. 7 at the Elkins City Park. Over 265 people enjoyed games, activities and door prizes.

A special thank you to those who donated door prizes: Rite-aid, CVS, Kroger, Sharp Jewelers, Rustic Corner, Big Lots, McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, Hardees, Taco Bell, America Mountain Theater, Elkins Bowling Center, Cinema 7, Davis Memorial Hospital, Dairy Queen, Papa John's, Camden's Creek, Mountain Valley Banks, Randolph-Tucker County Children's Advocacy Center, WDNE 98.9, Glotfelty Tire Co., Roy's Travel Trailers, Freedom Bank, Walmart and The Inter-Mountain.

A special thank you to those who volunteered including National Youth Leadership Innovative, SADD Club, Elkins Parks and Recreation.

We hope to see everyone again at next year's event on Aug. 5, 2012.
