The following is next week's schedule of events at the Randolph-Elkins Health Department, 32 Randolph Ave., Suite 101, Wees Annex:
Monday: Family planning supply visit, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., no appointment necessary; special immunization clinic for children entering kindergarten, immunizations cannot be given without previous immunization records and a parent or guardian signature, 10 a.m. to noon.
Tuesday: Written test for food handlers, 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.; nursing services, by appointment only; immunization clinic, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., no appointment necessary but immunizations cannot be given without previous immunization records; nursing services, by appointment only; free, confidential HIV testing, by appointment only.
Wednesday: Nursing services, by appointment only; immunization clinic, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., no appointment necessary but immunizations cannot be given without previous immunization records; free, confidential HIV testing, by appointment only.
Thursday: Family planning clinic and cancer control clinic, 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., by appointment only; nursing services, by appointment only, immunization clinic, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., no appointment necessary but immunizations cannot be given without previous immunization records; free, confidential HIV testing, by appointment only.
Friday: Family planning supply visit, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.; food handlers class, video, 8 a.m.
Elkins Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program weekly schedule:
Mondays: Open 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Tuesdays: Open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nutrition education classes during the day.
Wednesdays: Open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Infant feeding classes in the morning.
Thursdays: Open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Fridays: Open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Treatment for sexually transmitted diseases is provided free of charge. A sliding fee scale is used to determine charges for all medical services.
Maternity vitamins and iron are available free of charge with a prescription, with the exception of those with a medical card. For more information, call 636-0396.
