WESTON- Bryson Fluke rambled for 212 yards on nine carries, and registered four more touchdowns Wednesday night, leading the undefeated Buckhannon-Upshur Little Bucs to a convincing 36-12 road victory at Robert L.Bland.
"Our backs ran hard tonight, and we got some great blocking tonight from our line as well as the running backs for each other," Buchannon-Upshur head coach Dave Chipps said. "And on the defensive end, our linebackers did a tremendous job of helping stop the run."
Fluke opened the scoring on the opening drive, weaving in from 57 yards out. He would add two more scores before halftime on runs of 8 and 73 yards as the Bucs mounted a 20-0 lead. The Patriots answered with only 20 seconds left before the half, as Austin Skinner hauled in a 15-yard pass from Dylan Gump.

Chase Lewellyn scored on a three-yard plunge late in the third quarter to put the Bucs up 28-6, but Bland countered again on another Gump-to-Skinner connection, cutting the deficit to 28-12. Fluke ended the evening's scoring on a seven-yard romp midway through the final stanza.
"Fluke is really shifty.Oftentimes it looks like the defense has him bottled up, and makes a move and breaks free," Chipps said.
Complementing Fluke's numbers, Lewellyn rushed for 53 yards on 11 carries, and Marcus Lofton rushed for 41 yards on nine carries and added a 31-yard pass reception. Logan Carpenter led the Patriots with 86 yards on 13 carries, while Damien White added 42 yards on eight carries.
"They have some nice backs, and some solid linemen as well," Chipps said.
"They have a nice team, and they will hit you hard. This was a nice road win for us."
Buckhannon-Upshur returns home next week to face Lumberport. The Bucs raise their record to 4-0 with the win, while Robert L. Bland falls to 1-3.
