Stop by for a visit

Why do politicians wait until they campaign for some office to go out and visit the American people? What kept them from visiting the average American in our small towns and places of employment before?

Some of them we have never seen before, but they act like we were long lost friends. They know that they must win over the average American because we are the people who elect them. They use people to their own advantage. Some of these politicians come crawling out of the woodwork.

The sad part is we want to be Americans who vote for our rights, and we have to vote for one of them even if we don't believe what they say.

Can you remember any promises that were fulfilled by any of the politicians from the last election? What I remember most is the name calling and mud slinging against each other.
