Mon Power will disrupt service in northern Pocahontas County from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The rain date is from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 20.
A spokesperson said the company regrets the inconvenience, but the work is necessary to perform maintenance on the substation.
The outage will affect approximately 1,200 customers in the area. The areas affected include the communities of Durbin, Frank, Bartow, Arbovale and Thornwood.
