On Wednesday, employees of Stonewall Resort commemorated Veteran’s Day by placing United States flags on gravestones located on the grounds of Stonewall Jackson Lake State Park, resort officials announced. Displaying the flags are, from left, Karen Hardman, Kristi Roton, Pam Glasser-Smarr, Jennifer Claypoole, Heather Cogar, Mike Hager, Scott Cochran, Myra Hughes, Sindy Allen and Amber Towell. ‘We felt it both appropriate and a privilege to honor those veterans buried on the state park grounds in recognition of Veteran’s Day,’ Mike Hager, general manager for Stonewall Resort, said. ‘Some of the deceased served as far back as the Civil War and Spanish-American War.’ Hager said there are four graveyards, containing the graves of 88 veterans, on the state park grounds. For additional information, call Steve Ludwig at 304-269-7400.
