The Tucker Community Chorus continues its 25-plus year tradition of performing for the communities in and around Tucker County through its presentation of "The Spirit of the Season - A Family Christmas Spectacular."

The 2011 Winter Season Concert Season includes two Christmas programs. The opening afternoon program is set for 3 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Davis. The evening performance will be hosted by the First United Methodist Church in Parsons at 7 p.m. Monday.

TCC Director Sandy Shaffer invites everyone to get in the Spirit of the Season by joining Tucker Community Chorus for one or both programs.

Shaffer and her husband, Michael, are two of the charter members of TCC. They reside in the Limestone Road community of Tucker County.

TCC is happy to have Karen Cuppett return to the piano as the accompanist. In addition to serving as rehearsal pianist, Cuppett shares her lovely soprano voice in the choral group. A retired teacher, Cuppett and husband, David, reside in the Canaan Valley area of Tucker County.

Both events will showcase the talents of 17 area performers. Singers include sopranos Penny Ellison, Ilene Evans, Mary A. Mullenax, Marge Puderbagh, Ellen Shaffer, Sandy Shaffer and recent addition, Rita Harmon.
