TRG brings employment growth to city

January 26, 2012
The Inter-Mountain

In the past year, we have sadly reported on too many employee layoffs and business closures. This week it was refreshing to share the news of 150 new jobs coming to Randolph County.

Officials with TRG Customer Services made the expansion announcement Tuesday at the company's Elkins Contact Center. Job growth is always welcome news, and with this came something even more remarkable. The center, which employs 250 local workers, is ranked the No. 1 client provider out of 21 global vendors.

"Folks in the Elkins and Randolph County area know what hospitality is and that translates verbally in our communications with our customers," Michael Lewis, director of operations for TRG in Elkins, said during the ceremony.

That's just another blessing for our area and a wonderful asset to trumpet to other businesses considering Randolph County as a future location.

While national and state lawmakers strive for job creation, it is our hope that more businesses take a look at what our local dedicated and skilled workforce has to offer.
