Morgantown resident Bethany Lojewski beat out a talented field of competitors, and was crowned Miss Central West Virginia Saturday night in regional competition at the Old Brick Playhouse.
Lojewski, who is a freshman studying nursing at West Virginia University, advances to state competition, which will be held in Morgantown in June.

The Miss Central West Virginia Regional Scholarship Pageant was held Saturday night at the Old Brick Playhouse. "I was really nervous when they we're introducing the winners," Lojewski said. "It was a relief when they called my name at the winner.
"I can't wait to go to states."
Lojewski is daughter of John and Annette of Morgantown. She is the former 2008 Miss West Virginia Outstanding Teen.
Fairmont's Lauren Gower was named first runner-up. Ashley Culberson was named Miss Pocahontas County, while Morgan Smith took home Miss Tucker County honors.
Whitney Johnson rounds out the list of award winners for Saturday night. Johnson was crowned Miss Randolph County.
"All the girls in the competition were very talented," Lojewski said. "They were all great."
