School thankful for community support

February 25, 2012
The Inter-Mountain

George Ward Elementary School would like to thank the community and businesses of Mill Creek and its surrounding areas for their generous support. Because of their generosity, our recent cakewalk/auction fundraiser puts us halfway toward being able to install our school security system.

Perhaps you volunteered your time, assisted with setup and cleanup, donated a gift or cash, contacted businesses or put up fliers - your help and assistance is greatly appreciated.

We would like to recognize and thank Harvey Taylor and his "crew" for working as our auctioneer. Special thanks to our teachers, cooks and parents for spending the evening with us and volunteering their time and efforts. We also would like to thank the following businesses and individuals for contributing to our successful efforts: Roy's Travel Trailer, Glotfelty Tire Center, Dirtworks, 84 Lumber, Peebles, Dairy Queen, Star Furniture, Wendy's, Beanders, Sweco Furniture, Hair Graphics, Kroger, Big Lots, Sonny's Carpet, Western Steer Steakhouse, KFC, Auto Zone, Sherwin Williams, Little Caesars, Humberto's, Burger King, Gino's, Advance Auto, Crazy Harry's, Kmart, Gandy Dancer Theater, Hiawatha's, Bob Evans, Cornucopia, Steve Wamsley and TVMHS, Tygarts Valley Lion's Club, Mrs. Balderson, Mr. Chuck Swecker, Eddie Markley IGA, In-Style, Trinity Beauty, Anderson Tire and Auto, Huttonsville Subway, Bob Snelson and Gary Louk.

Finally, thank you teachers and students for your contribution of a themed basket.

We apologize to those we may have overlooked, and extend a heartfelt thank-you for your support of our school.
