Members of the band Jonny Lives!, shown here, are set to perform this weekend at Snowshoe Mountain as part of the Mountain Madness festival.

Videos will be screened on a JumboTron in the Village Friday and Saturday. Guests will vote on the winning video, which will be announced Saturday and also will be shown during Saturday night's concerts. A tent will be set up in the Village Friday and Saturday for anyone who needs to download and submit his/her video. The deadline for video submissions is noon Saturday.

With many skiers and riders now carrying smart mobile devices, QR codes are a unique way to quickly connect guests with information relevant to their specific location or situation. The resort will distribute Mountain Madness flyers with QR codes at guest check-in and to patrons at its restaurants as a vehicle to drive people to the festival with a chance to win prizes.

Snowshoe also will provide a preview of the new Zero Food Waste initiative in the Rock 'n Renew Eco Tent in the Village. The resort will partner with local schools and the Rock 'n Renew Foundation and will launch the program this summer. Rock 'n Renew is a nonprofit focused on delivering environmental education to students of all ages through partnerships with musicians.
