Luther Allen and Lynda Cosner are celebrating the 50th wedding anniversary today.
The couple were married on April 21, 1962, at Orlena United Methodist Church. Mr. Cosner's grandfather, the Rev. Boyd Phares, officiated.
The couple began the marriage in Struthers, Ohio, and later returned to Elkins, where they raised their three children.

Mr. Cosner is the son of the late Luther "Jake" and Elda Mae Cosner. A graduate of Elkins High School, he worked for Kelley Foundry for 25 years and retired from the Randolph County Board of Education as a bus operator.
Mrs. Cosner is the daughter of the late Ottis and Hazel Smith Vanscoy. She is a graduate of Elkins High School and is retired social worker.
They have three children, Brad Cosner and friend, Kathy Johnson, Christy and Andy Malcomb, and Tamela Faith Cosner Elmore, who is deceased. They also have 12 grandchildren, Cody, Tyler, Andrew, Hannah, Penny, Josh, James, Michael, Sumiko, Madorie, Naomi and Dakota.
The couple's children will host an open house celebration Sunday at the Dailey Fire Hall. All friends and family are invited to attend. Gifts are to be omitted.
