Pastor Stephen and Sallie Pyle of Elkins celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on Feb. 12.
The couple were married on Feb. 12, 1977, in Dagsboro, Del., at the Church of God, with the late Pastor John N. Evans officiating.
Mrs. Pyle, originally from Millsboro, Del., is employed with Mountain Valley Bank of Elkins as account services manager. She has 37 years of banking experience working in Delaware, Maryland and West Virginia. She has been a gospel vocalist for more than 40 years.

The Rev. Pyle, originally from Baltimore, Md., is now in his sixth year as pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy, 43 Gilmore St. in Elkins. He served in Church of God of Prophecy pastorates at Hagerstown and Frederick, Md., Short Gap and was an associate pastor at Sabillaville, Md. He was a member of the American Flint Glass workers Union of Toledo, Ohio, with 13 years of industry labor at Beaumont and Davis-Lynch glass companies of Morgantown.
He is a graduate of Columbia School of Broadcasting, Pittsburgh, Pa., and Bible Training Institute First Term, Cleveland, Tenn. He is a licensed radio broadcaster and ordained minister. He has worked 10 years in broadcasting and 46 years of various levels of Christian music leadership with vocalist and keyboard ministries.
The couple has two sons and one daughter, David Matthew Pyle, of Waynesboro, Pa., Lance Cpl. Jonathan William Pyle, USMC, of Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan; and Stephanie Leigh Pyle, a student at Valley Forge Christian College in Phoenixville, Pa.
The couple resides at Valley Village Apartments on Ward Road in Elkins.
