Portrait business to host contest

Members of the Class of 2013 from Lewis, Upshur, Randolph and Barbour counties will have a chance to win a free portrait session from local photographers interested in starting a business.

The contest is open to students who will are scheduled to graduate in 2013, and the contest will close June 30.

Two male seniors and two female seniors from the region will have the opportunity to win free photographic services, under the condition that a model release form is signed and legal rights given to the photographers for promotion purposes.

Heather Gordon, a Lewis County High School student, has a headstart on her senior portraits for next year.

All four winners will each receive one portrait session at a location of their choosing with up to three outfit changes. Each will receive 16 wallet-sized portrait prints, a free 20-page miniature album showcasing their favorite portraits and a free disc of the images.

To enter in the contest, students must write and submit an essay of up to 450 words about what their future career goals are and how they plan to achieve them. Entries must include a header with the student's name as it appears in school records, age, gender, phone number and the name of the high school they are attending.

Entries should be mailed to Amber Fast, 217 W. 4th St., Weston, WV 26452, and they must be postmarked by June 30.
