Student named to Furman University’s dean’s list

Kylie Elliott, daughter of Todd and Mary Elliott, of Buckhannon, was named to the spring 2012 dean's list at Furman University in South Carolina. Elliott is a junior and is majoring in political science.

The honor is awarded to full-time undergraduates who earn a grade point average of at least 3.4 during the university's fall and spring semesters.

Furman, a private, undergraduate liberal arts college with 2,600 students, is widely recognized for its rigorous academic program and strong faculty. The university has a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa and ranks among the nation's top colleges in the number of National Merit Scholars enrolled.
