Golf tournament supports health fair

The "Hit it Fore Your Good Health at Canaan" golf tournament, in support of the Tucker County Regional Health Fair, was hosted at Canaan Valley Golf Course on June 3.

The first-place Low Gross-Best Ball team was Mettiki Coal 2, with a score of 151 and consisted of Jim Ashby, Mike Burch, Brian Dixon and Skylar Roberts. Second-place team was Davis Electric 3, with a score of 152 and consisted of Randy Tennant, Jim Manzo, Greg Shelosky and Isaac McHenry.

The first-place Low Net-Scramble team was Davis Electric 6, with a score of 59 and consisted of Jimmy Severini, Jeff Knestrick and Mike Zicafoose. Second place went to the Davis Electric 4 team, which consisted of Wayne Conaway, John Larry, Dave Henderson and Dan Propanylz.

Individual awards included Closest to Pin No. 4, Clarence Knopsnyder; Closest to Pin No. 6, John Larry; Closest to Pin No. 12, George Marshall; Closest to Pin No. 16, Jeff Morgan; Longest Drive on No. 10, Jason Drew; Longest Drive on No. 17, Steve Raymond; Longest Putt on No. 9, Wayne Conaway; and Longest Putt on No. 18, George Ford.

The tournament was sponsored by University Toyota with co-sponsors Tag Stiles, Canaan Valley Resort & Conference Center, Mettiki Coal, Petitto Mine Equipment Inc., The Foundation of Mon General, Dominion Foundation and the Building & Construction Trades Council of North Central West Virginia.
