Emergency workers investigate at the concession stand building near Belington Elementary School after a fire broke out Wednesday, causing significant damage. Officials said a padlock appeared to have been broken off the door and the fire might be a case of arson. The Belington Volunteer Fire Department, Belington Police Department and Barbour County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene. The Sheriff’s Department will continue the investigation. Barbour County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Joe Super said the building is not on school property, and he could not say for sure who owns it.
