Pat and Evette LaFayette of Beverly announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth Marguerite LaFayette, to Chad Edward Thomas, son of Charles Thomas of Franklin, Ohio, and Janet Leahy of Middletown, Ohio.
The bride-elect is a 2010 graduate of West Virginia University with a dual degree in political science and psychology. She is currently working on her juris doctorate at the West Virginia University College of Law.
Her fiance is a social work major at West Virginia University. He will graduate in December of 2012 and will then enter the social work graduate program.

The wedding is set for Aug. 10, 2013, at Chanteclaire Farm in Friendsville, Md.
