Clelia Gregory, 91, of Route 2, Belington, passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 5, 2012, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, following a brief illness.

She was born Jan. 2, 1920, at Naples, Italy, a daughter of the late Ettore and Maria Fagnani del Giudice.

On May 27, 1945, she was married to Edward Downing Gregory, who preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2006.

Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Downing Gregory and wife, Mary, of Belington and Wayne Hunter Gregory and wife, Barbara, of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Lillian Marie Moser and husband, Stanley, of Ramseur, N.C., and Mary Anne Miller and husband, James, of Longwood, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, Thomas Moser of Ramseur, N.C., William (Crystal) Gregory of Belington, Gavin (Roxanne) Gregory of Orlando, Fla., Jason (Amanda) Miller and Andrew Miller, all of Tampa, Fla., Anna Marie (Jason) Crawford of Wilmington, Ohio, Heather (Terrell) Boone of Lutz, Fla., Joel Kienitz of Gainesville, Fla., and Shawn (Chrissie) Brown of Lakeland, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Jude and Amelie Crawford, Ethan, Payton and Ryan Gregory, Jordan and Kendall Brown, Alexa Grace, Layton and Larsen Moser, Simeon Miller and Tanner Boone.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Ettore Gregory; by three sisters, Anna del Giudice, Rosario del Giudice, Antonia del Giudice; by three brothers, Mario del Giudice, Renato del Giudice and Carlo del Giudice; and by three infant brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Gregory was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was a member of Faith Way Baptist Church and formerly taught Sunday school.

She will be remembered as one who had a servant's heart and whose greatest enjoyments in life were in pleasing others. If you visited her house near mealtime, she had to make sure she had food on the table that you would enjoy (mangia).

Her vivacious personality was magnetizing.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, from Faith Way Baptist Church, U.S. Route 250, north of Belington. Pastor Downing Gregory will officiate and interment will follow in Faith Way Baptist Church Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church from 5 until 9 p.m. on Monday and from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., the funeral hour, on Tuesday.

Schoonover-Stemple Funeral Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
