The Rev. Bill Calhoun, pastor of Woodford Memorial United Methodist Church, presents a check from the congregation to Eloise Mann, president of the Randolph County Cancer Support Group. The church raised more than $1,000 in memory of Firmen Canfield, who was an active member of the congregation for more than 50 years. Canfield passed away in 2011 of cancer. The presentation took place during the group’s annual Walk/Run June 30 at Riverbend Park. All money raised from the event will be used to help cancer patients in Randolph County pay for medicine, travel or other needs.
