52nd anniversary

Rubert "Squint" and Margaret Adamson recently celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary.

They were married April 16, 1960, in Oakland, Md., by the Rev. Eugene Matthews.

Mr. Adamson is the son of the late Vernon and Pearl Adamson. While a union employee, he helped construct the Stoney River Dam and Corridor H from Bowden to Elkins. He later worked for Kermit Butcher Construction Co. and retired from the Department of Highways District 8.

Mrs. Adamson is the daughter of Josie Mullennex of Job. She graduated from Davis Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1960 and worked as a registered nurse at Davis Memorial Hospital, Tucker County Hospital and Nella's Nursing Home.

They have two sons, Patrick and Matthew of Harman, and two daughters, Amanda of Harman and Rebecca, and husband Jeff Price, of Onego. They have three grandchildren, Roxana Lewis of Harman, Lance Adamson of Harman and Aaron Propst of Onego. They also have two great-grandchildren, Brenden and Colleena Lewis of Harman.

They reside on Whitmer Road in Harman.
