A town hall meeting called "Together, Growing Barbour County" is scheduled for 9 a.m. July 31.
It is coordinated by Alderson-Broaddus College, Barbour County Chamber of Commerce and Philippi Main Street.
Topics of discussion will include the unprecedented enrollment growth at A-B College - a 300 percent increase in new students for fall 2012 - and the impact on Philippi and Barbour County. Further discussions will include the identification of business opportunities as a result of the increasing campus population and campus-community partnership opportunities such as service, internships, etc.
The meeting will be in the courtroom of the Barbour County Courthouse in Philippi. All residents and community members are invited to attend. Complimentary beverages will be served beginning at 8:30 a.m.
