The third annual Main Street Arts Festival, "Celebrating the Creative" is being sponsored by The Main Street Arts Co-operative with support from the West Virginia Division of Culture and History.
It is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 22 in historic downtown Buckhannon. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience more than 20 artists displaying and demonstrating their talents, along with eight hours of continuous live music and performances.
This event will coincide with the Buckhannon Farmers Market Chili Cook-Off from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Family Weekend at West Virginia Wesleyan College.
Artists will line the street, and there will be demonstrations by unique jewelry designers, potters, sculptors and painters. Music, dance and theater performances will continue throughout the day on an outdoor stage, allowing the sounds of Appalachia to flow in and out of the Festival's booths and downtown shops.
