Mr. Gail Webster Loughry, 66, a resident of Route 3 Belington, departed this life at 3:05 a.m. on Sunday Aug. 19, 2012, at his home.
He was born Feb. 8, 1946, at Terra Alta, a son of the late Harvey Guy and Mable Blanche Kelley Loughry.
On Nov. 25, 1973, he was united in marriage to the former Margie L. Reckart, who survives at their home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Michael Loughry, Florida; two daughters, Jodi Veramesa and husband, Joey, Abilene, Tx., and Shelby Loughry, and companion, Brian Thompson, Belington.
Also surviving are three brothers, Howard Loughry Arizona, Ken Loughry New York, Donald Loughry, West Virginia; and six sisters, Vivian McCumber, Bonnie Leeper, Eva Hershman, Lucy Miller and Pauline Chavis, all of Maryland, and Dorothy Felton, New York.
Additional survivors include three grandchildren, Todd Rhoades, Jacob Mayle and Josh Mayle, and best friend and golfing partner, Charlie Cross.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Loughry was preceded in death by one brother, Clayton Loughry; and one sister Shirley Thiel.
Mr. Loughry was a graduate of Terra Alta High School and was formerly employed by Chem. Metals Inc. of Baltimore, Md., as a mechanic from which he retired.
He enjoyed golfing, bowling and taking his grandchildren to sporting events.
He was a protestant by faith.
Friends will be received from Talbott Funeral Home in Belington from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday Aug. 22, 2012.
At the request of the deceased, his remains will be cremated.
