The United Way will host the Run United 5k run and 2-mile walk Saturday at the Elkins-Randolph County YMCA.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the race is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.
There is a $15 entry fee and each participant will receive a free t-shirt.
There will be prizes awarded for male and female run winners; for the top walker; and winner of the children's run.
The United Way has also scheduled its 50th Anniversary Kick-off Auction at the First United Methodist Church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
Thousands of dollars in new merchandise from local merchants, organizations and artisans will be up for bid.
The race is sponsored by Citizens Bank of West Virginia, Reckart Logistics, Davis Health System and Colonial Motors.
