Russell and Betty Linger of Huttonsville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today.
The couple were married on Aug. 25, 1962, at Tygarts Valley Presbyterian Church in Huttonsville by the Rev. Gwelym Jones.
Mrs Linger, the former Betty Jean Swecker, is the daughter of the late Gail and Elizabeth Swecker.

Mr. Linger is the son of the late Russell and Ruth Linger.
Together with their son, they own and operate Linger Farms in Huttonsville.
They have one son, Russell T. Linger III and wife, Billie Jo Wegman Linger. They also have three grandchildren, Russell T. Linger IV, Alice E. Linger and Ryan A. Wegman of Mill Creek.
The couple attend First United Methodist Church in Elkins.
They celebrated their anniversary with a family trip to Ireland.
