The First Baptist Church in Buckhannon is joining with Crosslines to fill backpacks with school supplies for children whose parents could otherwise not afford these items.
Items will be collected at the church from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the church entrance on Hart Avenue. Items needed for the backpacks include pencils, erasers, glue sticks, notebooks, markers, folders and safety scissors. Monetary donations also are being accepted.
