Mildred McKisic

Mildred Olive McKisic, 86, a resident of Holbrook Nursing Home and formerly of the Abbott Community, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at St. Joseph's Hospital.

She was born June 12, 1926, in Upshur County, a daughter of the late Roy and Eulah Riffle Williams. She was united in marriage on March 28, 1946, to Clarman Trussler "Cam" McKisic, who preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 1995.

She is survived by two sons, Kenny and wife, Christine McKisic, of French Creek, and Tim and wife, Cheryl McKisic, of Abbott; two daughters, Charlotte J. and husband, Richard Phillips, and Sue and husband, Steve Page, all of French Creek; 10 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Mrs. McKisic was a very loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing bingo and attending church services at the Holbrook Nursing Home.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at 11 a.m. from the funeral chapel with Pastor Buck Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Rock Cave Cemetery.
