Local student graduates from Amherst College

Morgan Kline, the child of Michael J. Kline and Carrie N. Kline of Elkins, graduated cum laude on May 20 from Amherst College in Amherst, Mass.

Kline, who majored in independent scholar, entered Amherst after graduating from Amherst Regional High School.

Kline was one of 441 seniors who received their degrees at the college's commencement exercises.

Founded in 1821, Amherst is a highly selective, coeducational liberal arts college with approximately 1,700 students from most of the 50 states and more than 20 other countries. Consistently ranked among the nation's best educational institutions, Amherst awards the B.A. degree in 37 different majors.
