September 4, 2012

The Inter-Mountain photo by Melissa Toothman
Ciera Nestor, a Philip Barbour High School graduate and student of Alderson-Broaddus College, receives a $600 scholarship from the Barbour County Board of Education on Aug. 28. The funding for the scholarship is not taken from school funds, but rather comes directly from the school board. Nestor also was Miss Barbour County 2011. Pictured are Doward Matlick, board member; Dr. F. Joseph Super, superintendent; and Joanne McConnell, board member. President Bob Wilkins and board member Dana Stemple are not pictured.
