Students at Harman, Coalton, Homestead, Beverly and Valley Head schools will be released three hours early today.
Randolph County Superintendent of Schools Dr. James Phares said calls were sent out over the county's phone alert system. The students are being released because of a "heat and humidity buildup" Phares told The Inter-Mountain.
He also reported the phones at Beverly Elementary are out. Parents of students at that school may call the alternate number, 304-636-9163, for more information.
