MOOREFIELD - The Tygarts Valley golf team placed fourth in a Potomac Valley Conference match at Valley View golf course on Wednesday.
Moorefield won the match with a 177. Petersburg (189), East Hardy (192) and Tygarts Valley (201) followed.
The Yellow Jackets' Quincy Fraley shot a 39 to earn low-medalist.
Petersburg was led by Brian George with a 40. East Hardy's Korey Foltz shot a 43 for the day.
Korey Foltz finished with a 43 for East Hardy.
Tygarts Valley was led by Alex Hinzman, who shot a 46. Jared Wegman (51), Casey Martel (51) and Paige Pritt (53) rounded out the competitors for the Bulldogs.
Tygarts Valley competed in a dual-match Tuesday against Pocahontas County at the Raven.
Pocahontas County won the match with a 195. Tygarts Valley shot a 201.
Steve Nick fired in a 44 to lead Pocahontas County.
Casey Martel and Paige Pritt both had 52 for the Bulldogs.
Tygarts Valley travels to Philip Barbour today for a 4 p.m. match.
TC FALLS: Southern defeated Tucker County in a dual-match Wednesday in non-conference action.
Southern won the event with a 169. Tucker County finished with a 195.
Evan Friend shot a 37 to earn low-medalist for Southern.
The Mountain Lions were led by Ian Nichols, who shot a 47. Jonnette Michael followed with a 48.
Tucker County placed third in a five-team match Tuesday at Valley View Golf Course in Moorefield.
Moorefield won the match with a 179. Petersburg (200), Tucker County (207) and East Hardy (227) followed.
The Yellow Jackets were led by Quincy Fraley, who fired in a 38 to earn low-medalist honors.
Petersburg was led by Brian George with a 41. Korey Foltz had a 42 for East Hardy.
Lucas Bast shot a 49 to lead Tucker County.
The Mountain Lions will travel to the Raven on Monday for the Potomac Valley Conference championship.
