Tucker County will look to remain unbeaten on the season when it travels to Northern (Md.) today for a non-conference matchup.
"The players are excited about playing a new team in Northern, who we haven't played in the last 10 years," Tucker County coach A.J. Rapp said. "I think it will be a tough matchup, but I think we'll be ready."
The Mountain Lions (2-0) are coming off a 52-6 win over Tygarts Valley last week and are led by quarterback Derek Nestor.

Nestor finished with 61 yards passing and 49 yards rushing in last week's win. Running backs Austin Zirk, Zach Armstrong and Mikhail Lewis are all threats for the Mountain Lions' offense.
"It's no surprise were going to have to run our offense and run the ball well," Rapp said. "We've had a good start to the season and hopefully it will continue."
Northern (0-1) lost to McDonough (Md.) 22-16 last week.

"We don't know much about Northern, except for what we saw on film," Rapp said. "We know they run the ball well, though."
Braxton County at
Philip Barbour will battle undefeated Braxton County tonight in a non-conference matchup at George Byrer Field.
"This a big game for us," Philip Barbour coach Curtis Bodkins said. "We had a good week of practice and I feel the kids have some momentum after last week's win."
The Colts (1-1) are coming off a 43-14 victory over Lincoln last week. Quarterback Dillon Newman, along with running backs Brody Carpenter and Harley Davis will look to power Philip Barbour's offense.
Davis had 143 yards rushing last week and scored three touchdowns for the Colts.
"We're going to have to come ready to play and run our offense," Bodkins said. "We're need to score some points and have some long drives."
Braxton County (2-0) is coming off a 20-12 win over Clay County last week.
The Eagles are led by quarterback Jacob Yanero, who has scored seven of his team's 11 touchdowns.
South Harrison at
Tygarts Valley will be seeking its first win of the season tonight at home against South Harrison.
The Bulldogs (0-2) are coming off a 52-6 loss to Tucker County last week.
Running back Andrew Torres and quarterback Brandon Pritt will look to lead the TV attack.
Torres finished with 185 all-purpose yards last week.
"We made some adjustments offensively," Tygarts Valley coach Joseph Arbogast said. "We've had a good week of practice and we're healthy."
South Harrison (1-1) is coming off a 14-0 win over Gilmer County last week and is led by running backs Cole James and Dylan Smith.
Point Pleasant at
Lewis County entertains Point Pleasant for a non-conference matchup tonight.
The Minutemen (1-1) are coming off a 50-0 victory over Preston last week.
Lewis County is led by running back Caleb Butcher, who had 105 yards rushing last week.
Point Pleasant (2-0) has outscored its opponents 97-2 this season.
Point Pleasant defeated Tolsia 40-2 last week.
