Sharolett Evonne Heckler, 50, a native of Tucker County, raised in Fairfax County, Va., and a resident of St. Petersburg, Fla., departed this life Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at her home. She had been in her usual health and passed peacefully, however death was unexpected.
She was born Wednesday, Nov. 1, 1961, at Parsons, a daughter of the late David Lee "Bud" Heckler and Sharon Teter Simmons, who survives at Virginia.
Also surviving are two brothers, Mark Lee Heckler and wife, Susan, of Hambleton, and Robert Simmons and wife, Julie, of Virginia; one sister, Bonnie Patricia Heckler of Bowden; and nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are one sister, Vicky Clare Heckler; and her step father, Herbert Fay Simmons.
She attended Thomas A. Edison High School of Virginia. She also attended Cosmetology School in Alexandria, Va., and New York City. She was a talented beautician practicing in Florida. She was a noted artist and enjoyed her horses. She had a generous heart and was a wonderful friend.
The family will receive friends at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. On Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., Sharolett will be moved to the Collett Cemetery at Hambleton, where graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Pastor Christopher Adam Snyder will officiate and interment will follow.
