Fairmont State defeated Wesleyan 5-4 Monday in West Virginia Conference women's tennis action.
The Lady Bobcats took 2-of-3 doubles matches to jump out to the early lead in the match.
Wesleyan's No. 1 team of Thais Bezerra and Angela Pittinger won a tough 9-7 battle, while the No. 3 team of Somi Jeong and Nicole Deitz won in convincing fashion, 8-2.
Juliane Bezerra captured 1-of-2 singles matches for the Lady Bobcats, taking a 7-5, 5-7, 6-1 win.
Jeong won the other match at No. 5, also a three-game victory.
Fairmont collected four singles victories to complete the match comeback.
The Lady Falcons raise their overall record to 2-1 on the young campaign. Wesleyan falls to 0-3 on the season.
The Lady Bobcats will return to action Wednesday when they travel to Alderson-Broaddus for another conference contest.
