Just one short year after announcing the beginning of the Davis House project, it is officially open for those suffering from cancer and in need of a home away from home. Hundreds gathered Thursday afternoon to celebrate its dedication and view the finished project. Keys made from the original chestnut trim in the Davis House were presented to, from left, Jennie Raines, administrative assistant and Davis Foundation liaison; Jim Jackson, owner of Elkins Fordland; Mike Ross of Mike Ross Inc.; and Dan Bucher, Davis Health System Foundation special projects coordinator.
