PHILIPPI - Luke Freeman shot an even-par round of 35 Thursday at the Barbour Country Club to lead Philip Barbour to victory in a four-team high school golf match.
The Colts combined to shoot a team score of 166 to easily outdistance North Marion, 184; Tucker County, 192; and Liberty, 222.
The victory closed out the regular season for Philip Barbour, who will compete Monday at the Clarksburg Country Club in the annual Big 10 Conference tournament.

Aiding in the Colts scoring were Logan Collins, 38; Zach Howdershelt, 46; and Caleb Hawkins, 47. Also competing for Philip Barbour were Tyler Clifton, 51, and Jacob Nester, 50.
Tucker County was led by Ian Nichols, who carded a round of 45. Eric McCrum shot 48, followed by Seth Evans, 49; and Jonnette Michael, 50. Other golfers for Tucker County were Lucas Bast, 52, and Tyler Fike, 53.
Tucker County will host Tygarts Valley, East Hardy and Petersburg on Tuesday at the Canaan Valley Resort.
B-U?EARNS?SECOND: Buckhannon-Upshur placed second Thursday afternoon in high school golf action. The Bucs fired a team score of 166, finishing 12 strokes behind Fairmont Senior's 154. Lewis County placed third with 191.
Fairmont Senior's Sterling Fitzwater was the low medalist with a 34.
B-U's Dalton Westfall shot a 39 and Dalton Crislip hit a 39.
Jacob Hinzman fired a 42 for the Bucs.
