Editor:

The Randolph County Family Resource Network and America's Promise Coalition would like to say "I thank you" to all those who attended, sponsored and volunteered during the 10th annual National Kids Day Event on Aug. 26 at Riverbend Park. More than 326 people enjoyed games, activities and door prizes.

A special thank-you goes to those who donated door prizes: Rite-aid, CVS, Sharp Jewelers, Rustic Corner, Big Lots, Wendy's, Burger King, Hardee's, Taco Bell, America Mountain Theater, Elkins Bowling Center, Cinema 7, Davis Memorial Hospital, Dairy Queen, Papa John's, Camden's Creek, Mountain Valley Bank, WDNE 98.9, Glotfelty Tire Co., Roy's Travel Trailers, Freedom Bank, Walmart, Elkins Speedway, Subway, Valley Worlds of Fun, Great Length Salon & Day Spa and The Inter-Mountain.

We would like to extend a special thank-you to the Elkins Fire Department and Kroger for helping with this year's egg drop and also to those who volunteered, including National Youth Leadership Innovative, SADD Club and Tygarts Valley RAZE and Elkins Parks and Recreation.

We hope to see everyone again at next year's event on Aug. 4.
