Mrs. Mildred (Turner) Williams, 83, a resident of Brandenburg Street, Belington, departed this life Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at 12:27 p.m. in the Barbour County Good Samaritan Society at Belington. She had been in declining health for quite some time.
She was born Dec. 3, 1928, at Belington, a daughter of the late Everett and Ruth (Simpson) Turner. On July 16, 1950, she was united in marriage to William "Bill" Williams, who preceded her in death March 23, 1990.
She is survived by one nephew, Michael Green, and wife, Tiffany, of Belington, and numerous cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a special friend and brother-in-law Paul Green.
Mrs. Williams graduated from the Belington High School class of 1944. She was employed by Monongahela Power as a customer account supervisor and retired after 41 years of service in 1989. She was a member of the Belington Presbyterian Church, where she served as an elder and a former treasurer.
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home in Belington from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, and again on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., when funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Pastor Joanne Glaser officiating. Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Belington Presbyterian Church 208 N. Sturmer St., Belington, W.Va. 26250. The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Mildred (Turner) Williams.
