He was born July 31, 1939, at Slaty Fork, a son of the late John Tumblin and the late Mattie Sage Tumblin.
A funeral service was held at Morgantown Bible Church, 1407 Brookhaven Road, Morgantown on Thursday, Sept. 20, with Pastor Jim Cooley II officiating.
Today, Mr. Tumblin will be taken to Calvary Assembly of God, Route 219 south in Valley Head, where additional viewing will take place from noon until 1 p.m. From there, family and friends will immediately process to Mingo Cemetery, Mingo, where graveside committal services with full military honors will take place.
