A single-car accident blocked traffic on U.S. 250 near the Barbour County line at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Emergency responders had to extricate a passenger from the white Cadillac that appeared to go off the road, hit a colvert and came to a rest on its top. The West Virginia State Police, the Junior, Belington and Coalton volunteer fire departments, the Randolph County Emergency Squad and Belington Emergency Squad all responded to the accident.
