Community support made event a success

Editor:

The American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 29, of Elkins, recently hosted a bingo fundraising event. The event was successful, and we wanted to extend our thanks to everyone who was involved to help make the function run smoothly.

First and foremost, we would like to thank the community members who came out and supported our cause by purchasing tickets, raffles and food from the concessions. Without the support from the community, it would not have been a success.

We also would like to thank all the Auxiliary members who either donated time, money or items for the raffles.

There also were non-Auxiliary members who helped with the fundraiser. American Legion Post 29 members who helped clean and set up - your hard work was appreciated. Also, we want to give a special thanks to "Uncle Dave," who helped set up the sound system so our voices could be heard.

Finally, there were several businesses that donated items that were used as door prizes, raffles or for the concession. Those businesses that we would like to thank are: Seneca Designs, Talbot's Frame Shop, American Mountain Theater, the Gandy Dancer Theatre, Rustic Corner, Camden Creek Primitives-N-More and Kroger.

If there is anybody that was missed, do not worry - your donations were greatly appreciated!

We would like to thank everybody who was involved and helped make this fundraiser a success.

We hope that when we choose to have this function again, we will have the same support from the community.
