Elizabeth Cecelia "Siddy" Mero Kelly Martin Tiano, 87, a former resident of Elkins, and most recently of South Bend, Ind., passed away, in her sleep, Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at the home of her son, Thomas Martin.
She was born Sept. 26, 1922, at Elkins, a daughter of the late Thomas Triffley Mero and the late Lilly Pearl Phillips Mero.
She was married to James Kelly, who preceded her in death in February 1949.
She was later married to the late Theodore J. Martin and the late Franklin Tiano.
Surviving are her children, James W. Kelly and wife, Paula, of Petersburg, Patricia Elizabeth Kelly Douglas and husband, Phillip, of Williamsburg, Va, Thomas T. Martin and wife, Sandy, of South Bend, Ind., and Christopher A. Martin and wife, Penny, of Salisbury, Md.; grandchildren, Erin Kelly and Alison Kelly Stump, Kevin Patrick (Susi) Douglas, James "Jay" (Judy) Douglas, Kelly Douglas, Joseph T Martin, Michael T. Martin and Elizabeth Martin; great-grandchildren, Bronte and Rayne Stump, Brenin and Riley Douglas and Carlin Lineberry; and one great-great-granddaughter, Malaia Skye Marshall.
Preceding her in death were brothers, Phillip Mero and Thomas Mero. Another brother, Bruce Mero, passed away in 2011.
Elizabeth was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church for more than 50 years. She was employed by Terrano's Beauty Shop, Montgomery Ward and later by the city of Elkins and retired in 1985.
A memorial service and mass will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, in St. Brendan Catholic Church of Elkins.
