Gubernatorial candidate Bill Maloney helped to open a new headquarters for the Barbour County Republican Party last week. The event in downtown Belington was attended by several community and political leaders, and Maloney cut the ribbon at the event. ‘With less than five weeks before the election, we are excited about the support that’s growing for our campaign for a Brighter Future for West Virginia,’ Maloney said. ‘With rising unemployment and the largest state budget in history, the career politicians have our state headed in the wrong direction. We need new leadership in West Virginia, and I’m ready to lead.’ Sharon Maloney, wife of the candidate, made a visit to Randolph County last week, meeting with voters at the annual Forest Festival. She also participated in the opening of the Randolph County GOP Headquarters.
