Rose M. Helmick Hogue, 93, a resident of Beverly, passed from this life early Monday morning, Oct. 15, 2012, in Davis Memorial Hospital.
Rose was born Saturday, May 10, 1919, at Pickens, a daughter of the late Alvin Grant "Alley" Helmick and Dolly Mae Davidson Helmick.
She was married to William J. Hogue Sr., who preceded her in death Feb. 16, 2012.
Rose attended the schools of Randolph County, was a restaurant owner and had lived in New Orleans for 20 years before returning to West Virginia. She enjoyed crocheting, housekeeping and loved cooking.
She had attended Gospel Light Tabernacle in Elkins.
Rose is survived by a sister, Blanche McCartney and husband, Glen, of Buckhannon; several friends including special friends, Linda Workman of Elkins and Bobbie Smith of Beverly; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were three siblings, Russell Helmick, Delsie Brady and Cora Holcomb.
Rose's request for cremation was honored.
