GOP candidates to speak at rally

John Raese, a candidate for U.S. Senate, and Brian Savilla, a candidate for secretary of state, are scheduled to speak at 2 p.m. Sunday at a rally in Upshur County.

Also scheduled to speak will be Delegate Bill Hamilton, who is running unopposed for the 39th district; Robert Karnes, a candidate for the 44th district of the House of Delegate; Buddy Brady, candidate for Upshur County Commission; David Coffman, candidate for Upshur County sheriff; Taylor Stephenson, treasurer of the Young Republicans of Marshall College; Patty Adams, GOP chairperson for Upshur County; and Caiden Cowger, teen Internet radio host and author of "Restoring America."

The rally will take place on the steps of the Upshur County Courthouse. Candidates will be available to meet the public between 2 and 3 p.m., and they plan to start speaking at 3 p.m. It will take place rain or shine.
