A Tucker County woman was killed in a wreck Monday afternoon that investigators are blaming on the weather.
According to the Tucker County's Sheriff's Department, Nancy Hedrick, 40, of Davis, was traveling on West Virginia Route 32 near Canaan Valley when her 2006 PT Cruiser slid into the path of a 2000 Volvo truck being driven Terrance Welch 34.
Hedrick was pronounced dead at the scene. Welch was taken to Garrett Memorial Hospital in Oakland, Md., with minor injuries. His son was a passenger in the truck, and he was also taken to Garrett Memorial Hospital. His injuries and condition were not available.
The Tucker County Sheriff's Department was assisted by the West Virginia State
Police.
