Andrew Beavers, meteorologist with the National Weather Service, commented Friday on the rumor that a storm system would be moving through the area next week.
A storm system will be developing on the lower half of the east coast, Beavers said. Near Florida, a system will move up the coast but will miss West Virginia.
He said Saturday may see a few flurries or some light rain. Sunday through Tuesday will be partly cloudy, as a high pressure system blankets the area. Highs in the upper 40s, lows in the 30s.
He also said a cold front will be entering the area on Wednesday. This will cause lower temperatures but should result in little more than a few snow flurries. Highs in the lower 40s, lows in the upper 20s.
