Personnel helped camper through scary situation

Editor:

I want to extend my gratitude to the Tucker County EMS personnel, the superintendent of Canaan Valley Resort Park, and Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins for coming to our aid Oct. 20.

We were visiting from the Cleveland area, when my partner had a medical emergency while we were camping in Canaan Valley. Without these wonderful people, he would not be here with me today.

It was a very chaotic evening and I was extremely emotional, so I don't remember everyone's names, but I remember Patrick and Michelle were two of the people in the ambulance with him, and volunteer fireman Will drove me to the hospital. The park superintendent tried to calm me down until EMS arrived.

My heartfelt gratitude goes out to all of you. God bless you.
